What to Expect

Our Motherhood Massage is specifically adapted for the needs of pregnant clients. Your practitioner is trained in prenatal massage techniques and understands the anatomical and physiological changes that occur during pregnancy, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.

Positioning is a key part of the prenatal massage experience. You will be supported with specially designed bolsters and pillows that allow you to lie comfortably on your side throughout the session. This side-lying position is the safest and most comfortable for both mother and baby, and your practitioner will ensure you are fully supported before beginning.

The massage uses gentle to moderate pressure, focusing on areas that commonly experience tension during pregnancy: the lower back, hips, legs, shoulders, and neck. Your practitioner will avoid certain pressure points and techniques that are contraindicated during pregnancy, while still providing effective relief for pregnancy-related discomfort.

Hypoallergenic, pregnancy-safe massage oil or lotion is used throughout the session. The treatment room temperature and lighting are adjusted for maximum comfort. Many expectant mothers find that regular prenatal massage may help them manage physical discomfort, improve their sleep quality, and reduce stress during pregnancy.
